We believe ourselves capable of tackling almost any type
or size of project either directly or through our associated
companies. The range of surveying services we offer
incorporates:

Arboricultural
Large
scale land
Elevations
Boundaries
Rivers
Internal

1.Risk Assessment |
Very often buildings fronting a mains renewal route may be
at risk and/or pose a risk. Our comprehensive service includes
a written report with photographs of individual properties
with the complete survey report presented on a fully
interactive CD in Portable Document Format (PDF) complete with
video and OS plans.
|
2. Arboricultural
Surveys
|
Using your software program or ours.
|
3. Large Scale Land
Surveys
|
Large scale land surveys for all types of development
works. Using the very latest computerised techniques in survey
methods and machinery we offer a rapid and professional
service for this type of work. The equipment includes
computerised “GEODIMETER” electronic theodolites linked to
data loggers, which offload directly to computer. The work is
processed by C.A.D software outputting to plotter, producing a
very high degree of accuracy and professional finish to final
survey plans. Different scales can rapidly and cost
effectively be produced for the survey drawings.
|
4. Elevation Surveys
Using
traditional methods or by theodolite intersection,
particularly when access is limited. Digitised Rectified
photography can be used, particularly infilling detail such as
stonework where appropriate.
|
5. Boundary
Surveys
Reports for any litigation problems.
|
6. River Surveys
Also
inland hydrographic surveys
|
7. Internal Surveys
For
buildings, especially where high accuracy is required.
Equipment now includes hand held laser distance measuring
device which is accurate to +/- 3mm and provides a rapid and
reliable tool for accurate internal surveys.
|
8. Volumetric Surveys
For
earth-moving contracts. Utilising digital ground modelling
software, before and after surveys can be subtracted from each
other in the computer to give rapid and reliable quantities of
earthworks. This can be incorporated at a design stage,
digitising the proposed model and subtracting this from the
original survey. Two ground modelling systems are used so that
independent checks can be performed by using grid or
triangular modelling systems. Volumes can also be calculated
using sections through proposed and original ground models.
Volume sections can be plotted if so required.
|
9. Roof Surveys
Also
building models
|
10. Location of Underground
Services
Using “RADIODETECTION” equipment. This
proves an invaluable service in foreseeing problems when
developing sites, or for record purposes, recording the
development “as built”. Services can be located either by
scanning mode or by transmitting signals along the service;
the route can then be traced on the surface by the receiver.
Similarly, using a transmitting “sonde” attached to fibre
glass rod, drainage lines can be traced where traditional
methods fail.
|
11. Precision Monitoring of
Settlement
The equipment used for this work
includes Wild N3 Geodetic level, “ZEISS” precise level,
incorporating parallel plate micrometers, and invar levelling
staves, which will produce sub millimeter precision in final
level data. Other equipment includes one second theodolite,
“LEICA” optical plummet, for verticality checks, and
electronic distance meter capable of accuracies to +/- 3mm
over a range of distances.
|
12. Setting Out
Service
For civil engineering and housing projects.
Developer’s plans are digitised by “CALCOMP” digitising
tablet, precise dimensions are added and final setting out
data is taken to the field by data logger, linked to the
electronic theodolite and distance meter mentioned above.
Setting out is then rapidly and reliably performed using the
software on board the electronic theodolite. Latest equipment
includes a Servo assisted electronic theodolite which operates
completely automatically and utilising onboard software
provides unrivalled speed for setting out. Any minor
discrepancies with the original co ordinates can be logged in
the data logger and given to the client if so
desired.

13. In-house
Software
This provides us the advantages of
tailoring output to client’s requirements. This is combined to
other purchased software which includes Autocad Release 12, 13
and 14, AutocadMap, FASTCAD, KeyTERRA-FIRMA and DGM. GPS hired
in as necessary. Five teams of trained surveyors and
assistants can be mobilised to ensure a fast and reliable
response. Surveys can be produced on plotting film or
paper, in colour or black and white or on to computer disks
for client’s computer systems, such as AUTOCAD, MOSS etc.,
similarly drawings can be sent by email when urgency
calls.
We have consultants working locally and
internationally on projects of all sizes so what ever your
surveying requirements we are confident we can supply the
solution.
